Working in conjunction with the builder, Bury design produced the design and certifying documentation for this versatile vessel.
24m in length and 11m wide the barge features a unique trimaran configuration below the waterline giving improved strength, resistance characteristics and protection for the four independent thrusters/drive motors. These hydraulic drive units, specifically designed and built by Commercial Catamarans, are powered by a single onboard diesel engine. The advanced control system allows for the vessel to be maneuvered by joystick in any manner, giving the craft great versatility without reliance upon a tender vessel.
Intended to be a series build, the first barge features a deck reinforced and certified to carry a 110 ton excavator and spud piles for vessel positioning in shallow waters. Futhure vessels are being configured for fuel lighter operations.
